8 Best Bath Towels for Plushness and Fast Drying

I know this has been posted a lot(I’ve read through most of the posts). Everyone says Costco, but I’m wondering what’s the best quality, but not crazy expensive bath towels. Could be large cotton or the waffle ones. And would like to purchase online! Help: a 26M with 3 total towels and a increasing need for more

They'll put fluff out in your dryer (as will all cotton terry towels) but not on you. Haven't had them pill ever.

i’m talking hand and body towels, i have some from target and they are very pilly and sheddy :( hoping to find some nice thick soft towels that i can get my hands on instead of these target ones. lol. thanks!!

I’m looking for real bath towel recommendations from people who know true quality over clever marketing. I asked in another community and just got buried in Target, Ikea etc suggestions... Those are fine for what they are, but I’m looking for something genuinely well-made. I figured I’d ask here...

I just want thick, super comfy, ultra-absorbent towels that feel luxurious every day and hold up through endless laundry cycles without falling apart at the seams, regardless of the price. If you have a luxury brand or specific product you’ve loved for years, please enlighten me.

Costco! I believe the brand is “purely indulgent,” I’m a big guy so the bath sheet being as big as it is is perfect for me. Used them for years now, never replaced and they’re probably the best towel I’ve ever used

Wash the frontgate towels a few more times. They will stay soft, but will get more absorbent after a few washes. And don’t use fabric softener when you wash them.

Frontgate Resort towels are probably the closest match to “comically thick hotel towel that survives forever,” but are you prepared for the drying time that comes with that much cotton lol

Not really a Bifl item, but what is your pick for a luxury, quality towel. Of course, I'm old, so it probably is, lol.

For a long time, we’ve had Fieldcrest shower towels (Target). They are good. But they’re not the best ever. But they are good.

We did a ton of research and what everything we can find said is that the towels to get are Frontgate.

So on Black Friday, we got Frontgate towels.

Now - they have 1 very big pro - they are very very soft.

But they have a con - they are less absorbent than the Fieldcrest towels.

Essentially, I want the best of both worlds and I think it must exist.

When using the Frontgate, even after wiping the excess water off in the shower before using the towel, right when I start drying the towel is cold and wet.

I want a towel that is as soft as Frontgate or very close.

But it cannot get cold and wet so easily. It needs to be more absorbent.

I want it to be as absorbent as Fieldcrest or ideally even more absorbent.

Users - please help me. Cost is no object for this quest. Someone out there must have the same feeling as me when they bought Frontgate, was disappointed because they aren’t absorbent enough, and found the right towels.

I need new bath towels. Im looking for ones that dont get scratchy and thin in just a few years. Made in usa is a plus, but definitely not required. Quality is far more important at this point.

I bought “Charisma” brand from Costco. 100% cotton. The thickest towels I’ve ever owned. At 4 years old, the look new. They were a good buy.

Expanding on the Costco suggestion: CHARISMA HYGROCOTTON TOWELS this is the only answer. I have replaced all of my towels with these over the last few years. The oldest ones, about 4 years old, are still soft, quick drying, and plush

I am on the hunt for hotel like bath towels and would love some recommendations. You know how they are soft yet highly absorbent with no lint issues.

Funny, I like mine scratchy so I line-dry them outside.

I went on a hotel supply site and ordered samples of all their highest-tier options. They only allow you to buy one or two samples of any given product (as they’re sold primarily by the case), but they have enough offerings that I ended up with about a dozen resort-quality towels and bath sheets at like $4 to $6 a pop.

I am new around here, but very much enjoying the content.

One thing I have found particularly difficult to lock down is *great* bath towels. I have been buying the "bath sheets" from Costco which run about $10-$15 each and generally are very soft. They do seem to lose their color very quickly though.

I am curious to hear this community's experience with towels - Go ahead and include all kinds from face cloths, to hand towels, bath towel, beach towels and whatever else. What works? What doesn't and why?

Turkish cotton towels are my go to. But I personally hate a fluffy towel.

Lands end Supima cotton towels.

My mom has had the same set for about 10 years, and they are just as soft, fluffy and absorbent as they were years ago. They don’t pill or anything. I loved hers so much, I updated ours to them 6 months ago. They regularly run sales and I was able to get them for the same price as targets towels.

I'm looking for bath sheets. Hopefully less than $70 each but could go higher if needed.

My partner prefers thick, fluffy towels, but I'm concerned that some of the ones mentioned here often, like Frontgate, might take just a bit too long to dry.

Turkish towels are an absolute no-go. We haven't tried waffle towels, but I'm guessing he won't like how those feel either. We live in a relatively dry climate, so it doesn't need to be a super speedy dry, just maybe not actively slow.

Could you share your experiences with drying times for Frontgate and others?

Or are there any towels that FEEL soft and heavy but actually dry a little faster than you'd expect?

No you don’t. And that’s why all towels like that suck. They retain too much water and never fully dry (seriously) and that degrades the towels very quickly.

I’ve been down this rabbit hole you want to add Redland Cotton to your short list. Excellent quality towel but they’re not cheap.

Imabari Japan is famous specifically for towels. The city itself has several different brands and you could research the different quality between them, but they’re all excellent. I lived there for two years and the city runs on its shipping and towel industries.
