Whitening Strip Recommendations: Crest, Snow, and Dentist Advice

For whitening strip recommendations, users most often choose Crest 3D Whitestrips, especially Crest Professional Effects, while Snow, toothpaste, and in office whitening are other choices. Users report good results with Crest, and several users report noticeable progress in about 10 days. One user said a 20 day course worked when used as recommended.

Crest Professional Effects received recommendations from users and some dentists. Users also report using whitening strips for maintenance about once a year after completing an initial course. Some users say this routine kept their teeth white and led to compliments over many years.

Tooth sensitivity is a common concern. Some users report pain and sensitivity for about a week after use. Some users cut strips in half horizontally or skip the back teeth to reduce the amount of treatment. Dentists warn that strips can irritate the gums because strips do not isolate the gums, and dentists recommend custom trays for safer results.

Some users prefer Snow because they report stronger results. Whitening toothpaste, including Sensodyne and Colgate Optic White, helped some users maintain or improve tooth color with less sensitivity. In office whitening gives faster results, with users describing the best results in one visit, but opinions vary and the treatment costs more.

Buy whitening strips from trusted sellers, such as Amazon or official retailers, because users have reported concerns about fake Crest products from other sellers. Some users cut each strip in half to get two nights of use. Consider a milder pack if sensitivity concerns you, and talk with a dentist if you have demineralization or ongoing sensitivity.

The day I got my braces removed, my teeth were super yellowish, and I had an event coming up. I kept seeing crest whitening strips online, so I decided to give them a try. And yes, they really worked! You can already see noticeable progress in just 10 days.

As for me, wala akong na experience na teeth sensitivity before and after use but it may vary per user. I only use it for 30-40 mins before sleeping.

1 pack orig cost 2k-2.5k, got it on discounted price 1700+ since since may shopee voucher. Dont get fooled by too good to be true prices kasi baka fake huhu ganyan talaga price point ni crest. The pack contains 20 pcs strip. Each stip can be cut in half to be used for 2 nights.

I only used 5 strips for 10 nights and 6 months after, I still dont have the need to use it again. My teeth r not as yellowish as before na😭

Got it here, they ship from HK [affiliate]:

So I've been using the Crest 3D Whitening Strips for 20 days as recommended. And boy I'm telling you! IT WORKS!

I was thinking of undergoing a professional treatment but I came across these strips. So I read reviews, watched testimonies, and then finally decided to buy it haha.

Ang plano ko nga I'll do it for 30 days for MAXIMUM EFFECT lol, but I feel satisfied with the results now

Hehe I just wanted to share my experience with a local teeth whitening brand here in then Philippines, bought it through the orange app. After my braces treatment my teeth were really yellow because of my past vices and also with the fact that I am a caffeine addict (2 cups of coffee max everyday or an energy drink if I'm feeling like it). I was very insecure of my teeth and wouldn't even smile kase parang uncouth and unclean aking teeth. As for teeth sensitivity yes it does hurt pero it usually goes away hours after one treatment for my experience. I'm currently still finishing the box but it's soo white now I'm addicted to smiling haha parang veneers. Planning to even quit coffee since I really want to maintain this type of teeth and after I will focus on my skincare and mental health :)

I asked my dentist about this, she said the white strips are great and it's the same juice anyway. She recommended the Crest White Strips Professional Effects series, which is what I use.

I think they work! I cut them in half (horizontally) so there's no point in whitening the back of my teeth. It was a recommendation from my dentist.

sorry for not sharing it in the initial post but the strips are from pureform on shopee! you can even see my shopee review there hehe. they were the only whitening strips i found that were transparent about it’s percentage of hydrogen peroxide(which is the whitening component of the strips), also their website mentioned it was made in an fda approved factory.

i don’t trust the crest whitening strips on shopee because they look like cheap knockoffs when you compare it to the crest whitening strips from amazon. if you want to use those instead do it with caution or buy it from the Amazon website to guarantee it’s legitimacy. i researched ahead and consulted my dentist before buying whitening strips and these looked the most credible local brand here in the ph.

i didn’t expect this post to get any attention but my intentions were definitely not to gatekeep, i only use users intermittently so i wasn’t able to reply very fast, but i’m here now. so shoot your questions and i’ll try to answer them! :)

I guess kaya may sensitivity kasi di talaga safe ang mga teeth whitening products. I guess if you have reached that level of puti you should stop na. I think yung enamel ng teeth which I believe protects the teeth is naturally yellowish. Maybe ang ginagawa ng mga whitening producst eh inaalis ang enamel which protects the teeth. Kaya ingat kayo sa paggamit nyan.

Related question: anyone use Crest whitestrips who is also a huge coffee and red wine aficionado? I always worry I'm going to almost immediately undo any whitening... I can lay off the wine for a few days/weeks but need my coffee!

They hurt my teeth and make them really sensitive for about a week after use. I stopped using them for that reason. And they taste kinda jizzy.

I did professional zoom whitening before getting a couple veneers. If the strips irritate you I’d stay away from in office treatments. During my last session, some gel leaked onto my gums and I had horrible pain. Like shocks of random pain for hours. My teeth were super white, but they kinda calmed down to a more natural state of white now (not the bling bling white they were immediately after). I plan to maintain with strips. It wasn’t worth the money, the time, or the sensitivity after in my opinion.

As the title says, do you recommend crest white strips??

My sister used them like 20 years ago and they made her teeth white as paper. But I’m pretty sure the formula isn’t as strong nowadays.

Is it still worth it to try?

Which pack do you recommend getting?

For the record I don’t drink coffee or tea, so I don’t have stains. I just want my teeth to be a bit whiter

Ma-try nga kaso lakas ko kase mag kape 5 cups a day baka di din umepekto

Dentist here. In-office bleaching leads to the best results in the shortest time (one visit). The concern with crest white strips and other at-home options is that they don’t isolate your gums and that can cause damage to them. I personally don’t have an issue with patients trying out the pharmacy stuff first before going for in-office to see if they can achieve good results, of course knowing the risks. Another good option would be to have your dentist make custom bleaching trays and to buy the professional grade gel in the office (custom trays are made to protect your gums more than over the counter strips). Also, if you have sensitivity try using Sensodyne for a few days leading up to your bleaching appointment and then for a few days after. There is a component called potassium nitrate (and in other pastes as well) that desensitizes teeth.

This really works! Tried it once mga 2 yrs ago, i finished the whole pack

THANKYOU FOR THE TIPS! 🥹🫶🏻

Yes! I’ve used them about once a year for over a decade and always get compliments on how white my teeth are (even with drinking coffee daily)

It's my first time buying one so i am not sure which. I don't have very sensitive teeth rather normal. I was planning to proceed full treatment and if it will do and then use a few every 6 months

Yes! Ate ko ganito din ginagamit. As in puti ng ngipin niya at yrs na siya gumagamit.

Ako pesonally di ko gusto kasi ngilo, naging sobrang sensitive ngipin ko.

Go to a dentist if you enjoy having enamel.

If you don't care for enamel, find teeth whitening with hydrogen peroxide, and 0,1% concentration does fuck all.

Kind of want to get into whitening before I plan on getting tooth gems, but I don't want to waste my time trying and rather pick something that works.

I tried it and it’s pretty nasty, turning into jelly. I started using Colgate Optic White toothpaste and my teeth have gotten very noticeably whiter. I’m a 1-2 cups a day coffee drinker of that helps.

Ref lang ganito kulay ng ngipin ko at ngipin niya dati.

The Crest ones are great I get the 3D whitestrips.

Used them for a few years with zero issues - you will probably see a difference in a few uses. Ive never used a full course, Ill do a few days and thats enough.

I've had zoom whitening since starting the strips and I had no issues with that either.

The SNOW brand works AMAZING. I’d say go with that instead.
I use them about once a year for over a decade and always get compliments on how white my teeth are.
