Classic date idea. Make sure you go to dinner after the movie, that way if you can’t think of anything to talk about you can talk about the movie. GO SEE ENDGAME

Really fun. Short enough to not drag on, but long enough to get to know them.

This is better as a 2nd or 3rd date. Pack up some food and go to a nice park.

Current girlfriend lives accross the world and when she is here she sometimes really misses her cats. I took her to a kitty cafe with lots of cats and fed her cake. It was really wholesome to see her so happy

Lately, I've been asking my dates out to bubble tea as a first date. I don't know if it's because we mostly sit across from each other and talk, but I'm not getting a lot of second dates. In fact, it feels an interview as we ask each other questions. What do you do? What are your hobbies? How's work? Mundane topics. Aside from a hello or goodbye hug, the physical barrier rarely gets broken. Compared to when I took two separate women I really liked to skating as a first or second date activity in the winter, there was hand holding as well as talking. Eventually, these women became my girlfriend. Yes it's a small sample size, but it is a 100% success rate.
So what are your go to date activities when you take someone out for the first couple dates? For reference, I live in a suburban area where everywhere we go requires driving or taking public transit.
My bf and I usually just go to a restaurant, beach or stay at a hotel. It’s kind of getting repetitive now.
I want to do more fun and exciting things with him but it always feels like there’s not much to do and some activities cost too much. So I’m curious to know what other people plan on their dates and how you can make it more fun.
Bowling. It’s a nice and casual game to play.
My wife and I had a spur of the moment thing and went to one of those trampoline zones where you bounce on trampolines indoors for like an hour. It was so much fun but god was I sore for a few days lol. We laughed ourselves silly trying to do all sorts of flips and dunking the basketballs and stuff like that

If you want a unique and surprisingly good way to learn a lot about your date, take them to a vinyl records store. I had someone take me to one as a date once. I thought it was a pretty strange place to go on a date, but I went anyway. The store had vinyl records, old music discs, movies, and books. We spent easily an hour and a half there just looking at the selection, talking about our favorite movies, songs, books, and other interests. It’s super easy to find stuff to talk about in that kind of a store, and it’s a great place for you to learn about your date and for your date to learn about you. Afterwards we went and grabbed some smoothies. Had a great time.

Best? That is a toughie but here is one that was fun. A treasure hunt. I hid various cute little gifts around a nature walk area. She was given a clue to start and at each location the clue pointed to was a small cheap but cute gift and another clue. The last treasure was tickets to a play.
