If you're worried about theft, there's always the simplicity of picking the package up from the store. Mind you, it's not 2020 anymore. You can probably just walk in to your local Best Buy and find one, unless you're looking for a specific kind.

finally ready to upgrade from my ps4 and looking to get a ps5 but not sure where i should actually buy it from. theres so many options now that theyre actually in stock everywhere. main things im trying to figure out are where has the best deals right now especially with black friday coming up, if theres any bundles worth getting, and which retailers are actually reliable for shipping and customer service if something goes wrong. ive been checking amazon, best buy, walmart but the prices seem pretty similar everywhere. wondering if theres anywhere that has better deals or perks that im missing

also curious about financing options since dropping $500 all at once is rough. do any places offer payment plans or is it better to just save up and buy outright?looking at either the digital or standard edition, still not totally sure which one makes more sense. leaning toward digital since i barely buy physical games anymore but worried ill regret it. anyone have recent experience buying a ps5? where did you get yours and were you happy with the whole process? any deals or retailers i should check out or avoid?trying to make the purchase soon so i can actually get it before the holidays. dont want to deal with shipping delays or sold out situations

UPDATE: just bought the ps5 horizon bundle from ps direct. just wanted to get this over with already. will be selling the horizon digital code immediately, hoping to get at least $35 for it. so only $15 extra on the ps5 which is okay. just finally glad to be done with this. i'm not even ready to play this thing yet, still need time to get a better TV. i'm basically gonna hoard this under my bed for when i'm ready. thanks all

so what's the best way to get one? NO horizon bundle version. looking to pay $500 for just the PS5. i had a chance to get the horizon bundle from ps direct but i passed on that, not interested

Doesn’t really matter where. You can also just go to any of the stores and buy it.

If you’re not bothered about consumer protection or warranty then deffo Facebook marketplace.

I bought mine directly from PlayStation's website, they had a nice deal where it was $75 off if you bought the Fortnight bundle version.

So I got the Disked version for $425 (before taxes) and it was delivered about 4 days later.

Last Black Friday the PS5 Slim Digital was 290 at Bestbuy. If you opened a Bestbuy Credit card at that point it was 240. This was before all the Nintendo BS happening.

You can get a refurbished PS5 directly from Sony for a cheaper cost than new. Digital is $350, Disc is $400 👍 Cheaper than that and you'll probably have to check the secondary market.

Since you wait a long time, I’d plunk down the $650 on the pro and see if you can open a credit card that offers 1 year same as cash through either the retailer or and major cc company

Made a post recently that got taken down by the mods but in short, I've decided to get a ps5. Users has swayed me lol Switching from an Xbox to ps is a big decision and I'm not sure where the best places to get a console would be.

I've thought about waiting til black Friday for some potential deals but I'm not really sure how much they would mark down a new ps5 vs me just getting a refurbished one.

Any suggestions on where to look would be great. Price ranges on whats considered a 'good deal' vs too much would be nice as well. Thank you very much

Do you have an AMEX and Ratuken account? Dell did have a good AMEX promo going on and Ratuken gave you extra cash back on the purchase.

Best Buy had a good deal like extra $100 for trading in your PS4. You can trade the PS4 at the same time of purchase, everything will load on you PS account on the new system once you have it.

I'm not 100% sure these deals are still active though since BF weekend is technically over for some retailers. Costco had a good bundle with extra controller and a game or something.

Pawn shop , half a ps5 , half the price

I don't know whether to buy it from PlayStation directly, or from some other vendor like GameStop, Walmart or whatever. I've bought my consoles from Amazon before but I'm not sure if I want to run the risk of it getting stolen. I'm in Southern California if that makes a difference.
